About Dr. Musa

Dr. Hussein Musa is from Chicago, IL. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (UIUC). He went on to become a Howard Hughes Research Fellow and graduated from UIUC with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Upon graduation hebentered the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

During his time at the University of Chicago, he researched the Innate Immune response toHepatitis C Virus and has given several poster presentations on that subject matter. He graduatedfrom the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2011.

Dr. Musa completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center atNew York Presbyterian Hospital. He also decided to pursue a career in Pain medicine and continued to learn more about this field during his residency training.

Dr. Musa completed fellowship training in Pain Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He was trained to perform interventional pain medicine procedures such as Epidural steroid injections, Radiofrequency ablation, Ultrasound guided nerve blocks, Spinal Cord stimulator placement, and more.
Dr. Musa is board-certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, & Addiction Medicine. He has a strong desire to help patients suffering from chronic pain and addiction. He has worked in multiple opioid treatment centers in San Antonio.

He most recently served as the Medical Director of the Interdisciplinary Pain Clinic at South Texas Veterans Hospital in San Antonio where he provided chronic pain management, Interventional pain management and treatment for addiction for our nation’s heroes. He successfully expanded the pain management treatment capabilities at the facility during his two year term.

Dr. Musa is the husband of an amazing wife and the father of three rambunctious boys. He became a Christian in 2016 and has desired to serve Christ ever since. He founded the 501c3 nonprofit organization named, The Kingdom Healthcare System in September 2018 as an act of obedience to God’s will to provide health care to those in need. Dr. Musa has answered the call of God in his life to develop the Kingdom Healing Institute which will focus on healing patients of Chronic pain and to provide funding for his nonprofit organization The Kingdom Healthcare System.
